Mike Savare's Fundraiser
Toy/Gift Card Drive for The Valerie Fund
All donations will go to Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown, NJ
Hi, my name is Michael Savare. I’m from Scotch Plains, NJ and will be a junior this upcoming school year.
I was diagnosed with leukemia at 2 and a half years old. Since I was so young, I luckily don’t remember anything from my time in the hospital.
Now that I’m older I realize how many people supported me and my family even during the saddest of times. I am very thankful for all my doctors, nurses, family members, and Valerie Fund caretakers who played a role in helping me get through the treatment.
In January of this year I was accepted in the young ambassador program of the Henrik Lundqvist Foundation. Lundqvist was an outstanding goalie for the Rangers; he always played his absolute hardest for the team. He was a great leader on the ice, but I never knew about his amazing work off the ice too.
I am so glad to be apart of this program and the amazing work that is done for so many people around the world.
As a young ambassador, I chose my independent service project to give back to the hospital and organization that saved my life. I want patients of all ages to be able to get items that appeal to them.
How you can help:
1. Any donation really goes a long way in the lives of cancer patients and their families
2. Donate physical toys/gift cards or to this fundraising page for the patients’ Amazon wishlist
3. Contact 848-236-7942 or mikesavare@gmail.com for drop off/pick up of physical items
4. All donations must be brand new/unused!
Thank you so much for your support!
